Austin rang in the new year circus style on Auditorium Shores  with Circus Revue!  The following photos are from the couple hours I was able to catch (there was SO MUCH going on) and include performances by CU@Circus, National Fire Performance League, Drishti Dancers, Sky Candy, Invisible Man Corporation and Erika Maasen.  Circus Revue! was organized by Community Art Makers (who also built that *beautiful* stage!).

Airealism Presents FUN

This weekend I had the chance to catch Airealism’s new show, FUN.  It was the directing debut for Sam Morrison and the third show from the London-based Airealism.  It was fun, indeed, though a bit bitter sweet for Amy and I as it reminded us of how much we’ll miss the aerial arts community in London when we move back to Texas later this month.

These are some of the highlights from the Performance Workshop the Aircraft Circus did last week. The students each had three days to put a new routine together and then perform it in front of an audience on Saturday night. All of the students did an outstanding job and there was a nice amount of diversity in the performances (one silks, one hoop, three static trapeze and one doubles trapeze). I’ll post more from each routine over the next week.
